Client Testimony

I have been overweight and have battled depression and low self esteem throughout the majority of my life.  Working with Julie, I have learned how to love myself for the first time!  Reiki has taught me how to nourish myself in healthy ways.  I used to struggle with fad diets and intense food cravings.  It seemed that no matter what I tried, I couldn't lose any weight.  Now I understand that the reason why my body was holding onto excess weight was emotional.  Since I started healing with Reiki, the weight is suddenly coming off!  Most importantly, I beileve in myself now.  Thank you Julie, for helping me learn how to become the woman of my dreams! ~ Naomi, Los Angeles

The other day I went for a hike and to spend some time meditating in nature, a practice I do as often as possible to keep myself grounded, release what does not serve me and to connect to Spirit.  It was a beautiful day with blue skies and butterflies dancing in the air.  I could hear the gentle hum of spirit voices underneath the sound of water rushing between rocks in the nearby creek...

I sat upon a flat rock, silent and still in the beauty of nature that surrounded me.  I sang from my heart’s center to White Buffalo Woman and she came to me, granting me a profound vision.  In the vision I saw the past, many lifetimes, but one stood out among the rest.  In this vision, a woman sat beside a stream, weaving a basket.  She wove the straw pieces in and out between other pieces, creating a design.  Other visions came and went, but I kept returning to the vision of patterns being woven into the basket.

I recalled a sacred Native American teaching from an elder about the Sacred Loom.  When weaving a blanket on a loom, there is the weave and the weft.  The weft is the strings that go up and down, providing the structure for the blanket where the weave is constructed of the thread that weaves in between the weft, creating the design and pattern in the blanket.  In life, the weft is the physical world, the structure of our lives whereas the weave is spirit, which creates the color and beautiful patterns and design of life itself.

As the vision of the woman weaving the basket continued, I felt deeply to look at the patterns within my own life as there is learning to come from them.  I have noticed here in Los Angeles, the idea of learning Reiki and becoming a Reiki master is very appealing to many, conjuring images of mystery and power.  The idea of self-empowerment and having the ability to help others in need is very enticing and many individuals are drawn to learning it, saying they wish to have healing and empowerment within their lives.

This is a beautiful thing and I feel so blessed to guide students on their paths to personal perfection.  However, the healing path is a difficult one and when we embark upon such a path and decide to embrace change and healing within our lives, oftentimes things may surface creating fear or other emotions which keep us from moving forward.  We may cancel on plans at the last minute and not follow through with our commitments. Many times it is difficult to integrate different aspects of ourselves into the whole as we undergo our own personal transformations.

This is common among the first steps of ascension as the ego resists change. What we must do at this time is honor ourselves and the emotions that flow through us as we feel this resistance.  Perhaps we are not ready and some fear needs to be released first prior to moving forward.  We should endeavor to be aware of the patterns of fear within ourselves by taking an honest look within and honoring the need to release any fears that block us.  Remember Shakespeare’s quote, “This, above all, to thine own self be true.”

If we express our feelings in the moment and honor our feelings and emotions, then we allow our inner world to truly match our outer world and can move forward being in alignment with our Self.  If not, we commit to things we are not ready for and end up cancelling on plans repeatedly or not following through with what we ‘say’ we are going to do, which ultimately creates the energy of chaos to flow throughout our lives.  This is dis-empowering and weakening to our own personal power.

The Ancient ones taught us about the first Universal law of energy which is also the law of harmonics which states, “Energy must be expressed with efficiency through maximum effect and with minimum effort”.  It is the path of least resistance, as we have all heard of.  From this law we learn to be efficient with our energy and the reward for that efficiency is minimum effort.  Now when it comes to our choices, actions and decisions in life and we speak of energy and the law of efficiency, in order to manifest what we want for ourselves, our choices, actions and decisions need to come into alignment with one another.  When we truly understand the teaching of this law in relation to our own energy and how we use it we learn that stress isn’t real or necessary; but in resistance to life and this law.

Speaking our truth, honoring our Self and making choices and decisions that are in alignment with our highest good will create the efficiency necessary for the energy to flow in harmony within our lives. When the time is right and the fears have been released, I will be here to guide you upon your healing journey with open arms and with an open heart.  And with that, I leave you with the following quote from Brooke Medicine Eagle that speaks to this quite beautifully, “The intention carried by the seeker is of paramount importance, for that establishes the pathway upon which Spirit and the seeker walk toward each other.”

Namaste.
