Client Testimony

I met several practitioners of Reiki before I felt inspired to gain the skill myself. Julie Roberts impressed me first with her palpable reiki charge and healing abilities and then a second time with her concise, supportive teaching style. I felt that I got a great overview of the history of Reiki, and also a great hands-on section, which left me feeling confident and excited to try my new skills. This was a great course, I'm looking forward to mastery with the help of Julie. ~ High Priestess, Granada Hills, CA.

I would like to share with you a meditation exercise I have done for many years that focuses intentions for the year ahead.  The item you will need for this is an orange with SEEDS.  If you do not have an orange, a tangerine or other citrus fruit will do, just make sure there are seeds inside. Don't assume there are, as many farmers are growing seedless fruits these days.

This exercise can be done on New Year's Eve or Day.  Do what feels best for you and use your intuition.  Find a quiet place to focus where you will not be disturbed.  Take the orange in your hands an hold it.  Know that symbolically, you ARE the orange. This is you, your body, your life, your personal universe.

Peel away the outer skin, imagining all the protective walls that you have built coming down. Imagine the masks you wear coming off and anything that separates you from what is Sacred being removed.  Allow the citrus scent to cleanse your thoughts and uplift you.  Let go of anything that keeps you from living authentically.  Shed the ego; shed the illusion that is perpetuated by ego.  Let it all go.

Next, when the fruit is exposed, remove each section and eat it.  As you eat the fruit, you will come across seeds.  Put the seeds aside.  You will be using them later.

Eat the fruit slowly, enjoying the delicious juices of the fruit.  These are the sweet things in our life, our blessings.  As you savor the sweetness, be in gratitude for all the gifts that you currently have in your life.  Allow yourself to sit in Gratitude for as long as you wish.  Do not rush the process.  Enjoy.

When you are done eating the orange, you will have a pile of seeds that you have put aside. Count the seeds.  This is the number of goals or intentions for you to set in the upcoming year.  If you have ten seeds, you can have up to ten different intentions, or you may charge each seed with the same intention.  Allow your intuition to guide you.

Pick up one seed at a time and hold it in the palm of your right hand.  As you hold the seed in your dominant hand (use your left if you are left-handed) imagine what you would like to manifest, create, or cultivate in your life over the coming year.

As you breathe, imagine your energy going into the seed as you exhale.  Make this vision as real as you can in your mind.  Imagine the life span of the project, from concept, to execution.  See yourself doing the work needed to make your dream come to life.  Note any changes you may need to make in your life to bring your dreams into fruition.  See your success sprout and grow, just as a tiny seedling sprouts and grows into a tree.

When you feel the seed has been charged sufficiently with your energy, put it to the side and move onto the next seed in your pile.  Do this for every seed until each seed from your sacred orange has  been charged with your intent.

On New Year's Day, which is also the New Moon in 2014, plant your seeds.  Water and nourish them with love often and imagine your dreams coming into being. It is done.

Thank your Self, your Guides and any other Sacred Beings you feel drawn to offer Gratitude.

Blessed Be!
